The 40 Over 40 Project Second Edition | Kimberly

perth portrait photographer

Early in her youth in Tennessee, Kimberly figured out she wanted to be her own boss. Her entrepreneurial spirit was inspired by the example set by her grandmother. Growing up in Tennessee, Kimberly spent countless hours in the kitchen with her grandmother, not just cooking, but observing how she ran her own small business with passion and purpose. Those formative years instilled in Kimberly the belief that with hard work, creativity, and a love for what you do, you can build something meaningful from the ground up.

In 2010, Kimberly moved to Perth, Western Australia, and brought with her the lessons she learned in her grandmother’s kitchen. Her past as a professional chef led Kimberly to create her own e-commerce business, following her grandmother’s entrepreneurial example. For Kimberly, the kitchen was more than a place to cook; it was a space where memories were made, and she wanted to provide families with the tools to create those cherished moments for themselves.

Her transition from chef to entrepreneur came when she saw an opportunity to bring something unique to the market—high-quality, kitchen ceramics that reflected her personal fun-loving style. Her products are designed not just for function, but to inspire joy and connection in the home, much like her grandmother’s influence had done for her.

Today, Kimberly’s entrepreneurial journey continues to be guided by the same principles she learned from her grandmother: to build with care, to create with purpose, and to always keep family at the heart of everything she does. For her, success isn’t measured just by financial milestones, but by the impact her work has on the everyday lives of families around the world.
