What does 40 look like for me.
Honestly the thought of this milestone was daunting and I really didn’t know what to expect.
My life had changed quite a bit before I turned 40, with some unexpected turns in our family life. I decided at that point that, this quote I read –
“this part of my life is invitation only”
was literally what I knew I wanted stepping into it.
Then just after I hit 40, my life really flipped on its head and I became a single mum after my marriage came undone. A huge milestone in life and a truly unexpected on at the same time, I have had to pull so much strength, along with lots of self love that I never knew I had to navigate through it. But I can now say I am truly starting to find myself again. I have learnt so much as I am growing into this chapter with new eyes and an appreciation and love for who I am and what I have to offer myself and others.
40 doesn’t feel that much different to me, than my 30’s. I am older, but I feel that your energy and aura really emanate who you are and I have embraced every part of myself.
A little while ago, my friend said to me that turning 40 was really liberating and that she came into herself when she hit that milestone. She said you just know exactly the direction you want to be heading in.
I really feel that now.
